I was glad it wasn't cheap brittle plastic like most wall panel holes so it took some rough handling to get it into place. My setup consisted of 1 inch old stucco running almost a dozen CLG jacketed shielded wires 3 feet behind a flat screen TV, so this wasn't the time or place to skimp on wall ducts. The angle of the crease requires a bit of maneuvering, but it does a great job of hiding a dark cavity in the wall. You can always hide a little extra foam to stuff into any gaps if you're paranoid about bugs and rodents what you do can't do with most designs that sit flat against the wall.
