This is a HUGE storage space. The large bag consists of two separate areas, one of which is divided into smaller areas. Each of these smaller areas can hold 1 large skein, or currently I have about 4 small balls of yarn in each. Yarn routing through the tip is good and as they have large holes I get 4 strands out of each and I have no problems. The front pocket is a bit lost for me as it only has two clear zippered pockets. . Not separately and in nothing you can put hooks. However, the inside is so big that it doesn't really matter. There are two pockets on this front, they are just big transparent pockets. The only downside I've noticed so far is the velcro straps near the holes. I don't know why anyone would want to attach their yarn with Velcro, but maybe I'm missing something. But since I don't use it it can sometimes pinch my skeins through the holes and pull out the skeins of yarn, but I only cut the plastic side far enough that the soft side would go past it and I haven't had much trouble since. .In general I like it.
