Headphones over audio jack are themselves well built, comfortable and have a fairly high sound quality. The biggest and unforgivable problem with their "7.1" USB adapter is a tremendous pass-through frequency. When I first received it I thought it was a defective part so I contacted Kingston and they happily sent another one, exactly the same problem. USB produces a constant white noise that is exaggerated by subtle audio changes at low volume. This is a totally unacceptable part that you literally pay extra for. The fake 7.1 is great and I really enjoy using it in game, but the constant amplification of that white background noise is ridiculous. I've tested it with and without the dongle on 4 different machines with 3 separate operating systems and it's still a badly made USB dongle. For a nearly $100 headset, I'm very disappointed that they made it cheaper, literally the only reason people pay the extra $20. On the other hand, Kingston's support is really great, so no problem. .
