The socks fit wide calves, they hug the foot and ankles, and they stay up pretty well. Most compression socks have a bad habit of constantly sliding or rolling down the leg, but these rarely need to be adjusted. The toe and heel parts of the socks are NOT compressive, so you have plenty of room to wiggle your toes (which is an important comfort feature for me in both socks and shoes).I use the 20-30 mmHg socks for times when my feet and ankles are more swollen than a lower compression rating can help with. These have really helped with pain relief when there's more swelling. The colors and patterns are great; much more interesting than the usual solid black, white, or tan colors of compression socks I've tried in the past.I have machine-washed and hung the socks to dry (they dry pretty quickly), and don't plan to put them into a dryer.
