I wear them every night before bed. I don't dry them and I don't think you should. They work great when you have dry heels. Just put some lotion or medicine on your feet and put your socks on and they stay wet all night. I live in Florida and wear sandals every day and my heels get dry all the time. It was a great help when trying to fix my heels and worked much better than cling film or dry socks. In my opinion, bad reviews come from people who don't understand what they're there for or even know what they're doing. They are designed to keep your feet hydrated. They have a gel-like lining on the inside designed to keep lotion or whatever you use moist and on your feet rather than being absorbed into the sock. Highly recommend if you have dry, cracked heels.
