Big disappointment in trendy sneakers

Last year while shopping at a discount shoe store I came across a discontinued pair of Skech Airs sneakers. I always thought of Skechers as useless or trendy running shoes. Not like a shoe to wear to workout. I ended up choosing them over my Nikes. Comfort, good fit and memory foam? I was at home. This discount shoe store is now closed due to COVID so I ordered these cuties from Revain. And they are cute. I like that. Unfortunately these are fake. I mean they have fake shoelaces. You know, the ones in the pictures that look like you tie them together, but when you get them they're actually shoeless. I like to lace up a new pair of shoes to get the feel right, and when I want to get them slipped on I lace them up with a ladder. Search on Youtube. But I love my old Skechers so much I gave them a try anyway. Because I suffer from succotash, it wasn't easy for me to fit into her. Small holes in the ankles but the shoes stretch a bit so I figured they were made to not fall off during a burpee. When I put my feet in, they still felt a little tight, but I thought again, maybe because they would stretch. Then I tried to walk in it. The insole was, as promised, like in a dream, very warm on the inside. But I did notice a distinct lack of lateral support. I mean with every step I felt like my legs could either pronate or supine. Very tumbler, very strange. There was a feeling that the inner edge and outer edge of the outsole lacked grip. Also, the bottom of the soles glided right over my laminate floor, the very floors I train on with Wii Fit. And the shoes were too short and too tight at the top. What a hoax. The ones I bought last year were women's size 10. So are these. Then why are they so firmly on their feet? So I looked at the Skechers size chart. Size 10 is European size 40. Apparently the pair I bought last year was a godsend because I wear an EU size 41 or 42 which is a size 10 in most shoes but not Skechers. I really wanted to like these shoes. but three hits. Fake shoelaces, too tight and wobbly to walk in. When they came back they went to Prime Wardrobe and I cried a little. I work out 6 days a week and can't go to the shoe store during this pandemic, but I felt confident that I would be happy with a pair of Skechers in the size that already fits me. And I'm op. Hey at least you know about fake laces and look at the size chart if you know your EU size. In other words, don't buy them. Size is just a number. I wouldn't upgrade to 10.5. But don't give your money to a shoe company that won't even give you laces. Let your wallet let Skechers know you're not going to put up with it.
