I was able to keep the cable from the old one and it slid tightly over this new one. I also put a nylon tie around the perimeter just in case to keep the cable from coming loose. Works very well. Only downside: you have to wiggle around a bit to activate the "slide" locking mechanism once the lid is on. If this is not the case, it can simply be unscrewed, even if the key has been turned to the locked position. Position. No big deal, you just have to remember to do this every time you block it.
