I've been experimenting with cheap software radios based on the RTL2832U / FC0013 chipset. With this adapter I could easily connect different NTSC (Bunny-Ear) TV antennas. I haven't had this product for a long time, but it has been connected and disconnected multiple times to several different antennas and so far I haven't noticed any excessive wear or a decrease in the strength of the adapter connection. A piece of advice: I would leave the PAL connector end more or less permanently installed in your device. The PAL end relies more heavily on fixation and repetition. Mating and unmating cycles can cause the connection to loosen. It would probably be better to unscrew and unscrew the coax side than what is easier and quicker to do by pulling the PAL side out of the device.
