great idea. I gave it to my niece for her birthday. Having a soft bed is great. I used to have to roll towels to get the same effect. What we really liked was the ease of use. It fits the newborn like a glove. Adds extra roll protection as newborns roll over, but over time they will. There is a tie at the end so this hole will grow with them as the child grows. Offers equal protection from side to side. It is very easy to wash and assemble, every new or old parent should have one of these for their little one. Very satisfied
