Fits and works but will NOT turn off GoPro's internal mic. Instead, it adds sounds from additional microphones. Frustrated that the GoPro's internal mic is still active, I did a little research and found that the only way to ONLY use an external mic on a GoPro was to buy YOUR $20 adapter. This has to do with the number of wires in the cable. GoPro (from what I could find up to this date) doesn't have an option to disable the internal mic without using the dedicated adapter. This makes a world of difference when trying to eliminate wind noise with an external microphone. . I used an Onvian cable when I was at the track with my car. I have a dedicated mic that worked great with another camera, but with this cable and a GoPro, the GoPro's internal mic is still pretty loud. After writing this review I was contacted by Onvian representatives. They offered to refund the money for the purchase as it didn't suit me. I agree with my review because of their attentive customer service. Hopefully there is some indication that the GoPro's internal mic isn't disabled so others don't have the same issue.
