Does what I need
I use this to transfer Hi-8 tapes recorded on a Sony Comacorder to DVD and make multiple copies of the DVD by connecting to my computer. It's easy to make and the machine has worked flawlessly so far. The lack of a fifth star is because it's not compatible with Mac, so I have to use a PC to copy discs.
