This is a set of four lined shower caps in different pretty pastel colors: the inside is black. The ruffled edge is a bit scratchy against the face. Reversible. Can be worn to keep hair dry while showering. Or the keep hair oiled while showering:i wash my hair, rinse, and squeeze out excess water.i then apply hydrating conditioner, oil treatment or hair mask. [I have thick curly 4a high porosity frizz-prone thirsty hair.] Since the oil or mask needs to stay on for 10-15 minutes, I immediately put on the shower cap and continue showering. Usually, this is sufficient time for conditioners/ oils and I can then rinse my hair. If I want the oils or mask to "marinate" longer, I just keep the cap on, and rinse later. The cap keeps the oils/mask warm and protects the hair from drying until you're ready to dry or style your hair. The cap blocks out air as well.The caps can be worn for overnight oil or mask treatments, and the oils won't leak through onto your linens. You may need to put cotton rounds under the elastic, though, as the ruffled elastic is scratchy.Very pleased with the quality and price, and glad that i figured out how I can save time by combining showering, masking, and rinsing . and gave more flexibility in managing my curly hair treatment regime.UPDATE 04/12/21: The edges are still very scratchy. The caps are indeed waterproof and are holding up very well (i rotate the use of two caps). The caps haven't cracked, split, ripped nor torn. i do like that they're double layered. The are easy ti wash [i hand swipe a bit of shampoo to clean off hair mask, rinse, and pull the inside so thst both inner/outer sides can air dry.The ONLY drawback is the scratchiness of the edging. It doesn't soften with use nor time. Not able to use as a sleep cap, unless, one lines the edging with cotton balls or cosmetic rounds.
