Use to protect sliding glass door from dog

My dog scratches the new sliding glass door to get in or out. I buy this reel once a year or so. Remove the old one (a pain to remove all the glue) and there are no scratches on the glass on the back every time. I carefully place a new sheet of paper on just the bottom half of the door, squeezing out the bubbles, and even there it's almost invisible. Totally see-through and people don't even notice until I point it out. I can't imagine how many dollars I'll save on glass replacements because of the dog.
