Now that I've filled the album with 185 photos, I can better assess the advantages and disadvantages. This album has some great features: #1 space to label each photo if needed (I used cropped mailing labels printed on a computer; when I wanted to make changes I carefully removed and replaced the label); #2 the flexibility to transport things that a ring binder offers; No. 3 slot in lid for "name"; #4 Easy to insert into photo holder. (I used some double-sided tape on each to hold them in place.) The downside is that after all the work of putting together an album like this, the cover doesn't lay flat on the pages with the photos due to the extra thickness. If the binding edge had been about half an inch wider, this wouldn't have happened. Or the vendor should advertise this way since the folder is designed to fit fewer photos better. This is a gift and the only way I can solve the problem is with an extra folder to distribute the photos. In addition, the buyer should be aware that linen covers are more susceptible to stains than vinyl or leather. Now I would like to add that the company listened and responded to my comments to my satisfaction. That speaks volumes.
