To say I've spent "too much" time researching and testing Airfryer Toaster Ovens (AFTOs) is an understatement; I really got involved, even ordered and sent back 4 other AFTO models. However, I have come to the right choice for me personally, and this is a personal choice - it should suit your needs in the kitchen and cooking. First, I would like to say that I am convinced that most of these AFTOs, even big names like Cuisinart, are either made in the same factory in China or by the same parent company. In fact, this OSTBA model is identical to another model called "Ovente" that you can find at Revain and this is true of many others. Keep this in mind when looking at prices and ratings - they can all be surprisingly so different for the same damn car! Ultimately, I chose this model because I wanted the next -1. Large capacity2. Rotisserie3. Multifunctional4. Longer warranty (they give you 2 years) 4. Digital When I researched other models people complained about -1. Grease is leaking from the unit - I believe this is for two reasons: A) The owner did not use a sump. B) On other units you will find that when you close the door it is just glass pressed against a metal unit. Pay attention to the picture I provided that there is a silicone gasket where the glass door closes. There are many other devices that have this silicone seal, but for me it was critical.2. Auto Pause: This device is equipped with an auto pause function. Pay attention to the picture: when you open the oven door, this little metal button is released and the appliance stops heating (the fan is still running). You can also pause it with the play pause button.3. Insufficient heating: Pay attention to the picture, the device has 4 heating elements at the top and 2 at the bottom. Other devices only have 2 top and bottom. One of the most important features for me was the grill. It works fine, but I can't put a chicken over 4 pounds in it. The rotation mechanism is too low on the bottom of the oven and when we cooked a 3.4 lb chicken until it was 3/4 cooked so the meat was pulling on itself, the chicken flipped and hit the bottom of the oven. tray in the oven. It still worked and the food was great but I think it's a bad design that they didn't test enough. As for cleaning, I think we all screwed up here. The photo shows that after 3 weeks of use the top of the oven and a bit on the sides have gotten these "brown/rusty" grease spots. We'll try oven cleaner, but it's like toaster ovens - it happens to everyone and there's nothing you can do. In the end we are happy. There are AFTOs that have more features, perform better, and have better customer support (especially those with US contact information), but when it came to combining our needs, price, and features, it just made sense.
