This particular pack was a set of plastic scrapers that I have only used on carpets. I could use them for any other floor but the concrete leaves scratches on the underside of the slider making it difficult to slide later. I wouldn't want to use them on wooden floors as I say they can scratch the surface. It's most likely not the plastic that's scratching, but any material on the floor that gets caught on those wooden floors at the bottom of the slider. I use them on my stationary bike to make it easier to push when I need to move the bike and the carpet doesn't get messed up by the bike's feet. I also use them under the wheels of metal shelves. Metal racks are either just racks, which not only make it impossible to move the rack with a load on it, but also put pressure on the carpet and potentially cause damage. I also use them under the rolling wheels for those metal shelves on the carpet so the wheel doesn't damage the carpet if left on for a long time. These pads distribute weight to prevent damage and greatly reduce friction when moving objects on them. good product
