In my 69 years I have had many different stands and they are better than most. The materials are very good. The legs are heavy iron and the stand is heavy steel with very good welds. The paintwork is also very good, so whoever got the rusty set must have been lucky. (I can see his second sentence was fine.) What I really like about these coasters is the safety block or safety pin. This gives the user another layer of protection. If (unlikely) the adjustable stopper falls out of the slot in the post, the safety pin will prevent the post from falling. This could happen if the user accidentally hits the trigger mechanism, although under weight this would be difficult. I see that one reviewer gave the stalls three stars because they were smaller than she thought. It's unfortunate that she downgraded the stands due to her own error of not reading the product description or the Q&A section carefully. So keep that in mind when looking at the overall rating.
