Review on 7.5 Feet National Tree Company Artificial Pre-Lit Slim Christmas Tree, Green Kingswood Fir - Dual Color LED Lights, PowerConnect and Stand Included by Liz Walker

Not sure what the problem is in the reviews - this tree is pretty cool!

Okay, so here it is. I ordered TWO of these because our 25+ year old trees are finally fed up. We've always had issues with older trees as they had a cheaper branch mount where the hex end was supposed to fit in a hex hole. Over the years they have become round holes and the branches have lost most of their bristles. So I browsed and read looking for a thin 7.5 inch pre-lit Christmas tree with LEDs and white/colored bulbs. I didn't find more than 3. So here is my review. When I opened the box, I found that the claims that the tree was "thin" were true. But let's think about it. If you were in the back seat of a 1972 Camaro on a cross-country trip and didn't get out, how cramped would you be after 48 hours? So let's look at this tree. It was crammed into a tiny box for weeks or months. It has to be "fluffed up", not in the cinema. I picked it up and it lit up from box to board in less than 3 minutes. When first assembled, however, it somewhat resembles a 12-year-old Ethiopian tennis player suffering from anorexia - he is very thin and skinny. So I set out to fluff this thing up. I started at the top, pulled the branches down, straightened them out and straightened them out the way they should have spread out. It's almost a "starburst" method on the branches. The top was just an accidental "take off and put back on". After 30 minutes of this amazing action I found the tree quite attractive and quite plump. Of course, the wiring was random, and some of them got confused. So what? Branches - a flexible wire. I could route the wire where I wanted and wrap the end of the spur around it where I wanted. The wires are still visible. So life is. Look at any tree with fewer than 5,000 tops and you'll see wires. This tree has about 1250 tops - it's not fat, not lush and not fat. The shape and size of the tree are literally given in the name - SLIM. If you want an unadorned tree that hides most of the wires and has no decorations at all, then this isn't it. But for those of us who prefer to hang all our children's homemade decorations since 1987 along with balloons, garlands and other things. We measured a 35 inch space and it fits perfectly. The worst part of the whole tree, top to bottom, is the little wobbly part at the very top that you stick in the angel's back. I do not care? no When I stuff it in an angel dress, it's well covered and well thought out. The lighting is well distributed and the 10 function remote control is fantastic! Toggling on/off would cause it to crash much faster than if you turned it on with a timer. But many options, with flashing white, flashing color, pastel colors, fade in/out remain on. It is great! And we are one tree with white lighting and one with only color. Because the trees are the same, we don't need to keep track of which tree is which. We just stomp until our lights are where we want them. Reviews because it is thin, anemic, thin, not fluffy, etc. You didn't try hard enough. Press to light up the top of a tree. Again - part of the study of the tree. It's not like a new car with 17 people handling parts, oil changes, fuel and window cleaning. It takes a little effort on your part to lay out the branches, place the lighting and wiring, and the biggest trick is a little "twist" between sections to fill in the gaps between sections. Line them up in a checkerboard pattern and you're good! I assure you it's worth it. Santa will be delighted and will leave the new Hellcat in the driveway for my efforts. Boom.

Pros
  • I always liked it
Cons
