Dyson vs Hoover fits handheld vacuum

I've been using a Dyson DC65 Animal for 5 years (You can find it here --> https://www .amazon.com /Dyson-DC65 -Animal-Upright-Cleaner/dp/B00HNUFRQC/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1466120268&sr=8-1&keywords=dyson+dc+animal The hose on my Dyson never worked (no clog in the hose, I checked) and I thought maybe it's time to try a new vacuum to see if the dyson sucks up all the cat hair as well as it used to.I have a love-hate relationship with this vacuum.I love it has cord storage, charcoal filter and indicator hose is clogged/dirty. In addition, the hose on the vacuum cleaner works. Finally I can reach small places that were previously unreachable. What I do not like is that this vacuum cleaner has a belt (which after 2 weeks after buying a vacuum cleaner ugers broke) on my Dais It has no strap to replace. You might want to have an extra strap on hand just in case > https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003WRBL56/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 The vacuum is significantly heavier than the Dyson and noisier. I noticed that the vacuum's cord isn't as long as the Dyson's, so I have to unplug almost every room to finish cleaning. Now compare these two vacuum cleaners in terms of performance. I've had the Dyson for 5 years which says a lot about the quality. Let's hope that I have this vacuum cleaner for 5 years. The suction power of the Dyson and Hoover is exceptional. I have 4 house cats and a toddler - that says it all. If you are looking for Dyson then I will say they are worth what you pay for them. On the other hand, Hoover has a solid reputation for good quality, and extras like cord storage, an actual working hose, and a charcoal filter are great features that Dyson don't have. Both are good in performance. I am happy with this vacuum although I am unhappy with the broken belt and a very large clog (Dyson does not clog easily) which prevented my vacuum from vacuuming properly. I would recommend this vacuum cleaner* charcoal filter which is easy to pull out and replace and a HEPA filter over the canister which can be washed (I had that once a week). The canister is quite small inside, there is very little space inside, but it holds quite a lot. I have to use a glove to get the cat hair out of the canister. You can also see the cat hair ball I just finished vacuuming (I vacuum every other day and have 4 house cats which means = lots of hair). Hold the canister with one hand and insert your other gloved hand to pull out the cat or dog hair. When cleaning the hose, also clean it over a large trash can by inserting an open end into the trash can and holding the other end up, then insert the brush handle all the way through the hose - this can quickly push out any blockages. no mess. I wash the HEPA filter (blue) in warm water with dish soap and let it air dry for 24 hours in warm weather and 48 hours in cold weather before putting it back in the container. 7/24/16 UPDATED Here is a small update for those interested in this vacuum cleaner. I honestly use it every other day (too much cat hair builds up if I don't vacuum often). In the time I have been using this vacuum I have dealt with a large clog which can be seen in my photos below as well as a broken belt and complete loss of suction due to the main clog which was frustrating because I could 't find out in as the case. Moment due to which this vacuum cleaner stopped working. Now that I've gotten a lot wiser, I'm here to share even more information with those who already own this vacuum cleaner or are planning to buy one, so you're ready to deal with those situations too. vacuuming these days. After vacuuming, I also disassemble the bin (rotate the bin to fully open it to clean the inside), check the HEPA filter, and wash it once a week. Then I remove the hose to run the broom and check for clogs. Check the roller brush for filaments or hair. Did. The vacuum cleaner is clog-free and ready for the next use with a clean filter (which also helps with vacuuming). It's pretty easy once you get used to doing this while vacuuming. It only takes me about 10 minutes each time to do all of this. Now that I'm learning how to maintain that vacuum, it's easier than using Dyson. As I said, the Dyson model I have doesn't have a detachable hose, there's no screw-on container to clean inside the container, and I don't have a way to unclog any clogs that are affecting suction in both the vacuum and the hose Vacuum cleaner. dyson At least with a vacuum I can literally take it apart when needed, find and replace the parts that aren't making it work, and then put it all back together with minimal effort and time. The suction power of the vacuum seems to be better with regular maintenance and cleaning (I have 4 cats and a toddler - my vacuum needs extra maintenance). from cat hair.
