Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great product, best sport and competition gear

Let me start with some specs: The straps are NOT 17ft as stated in the product description. It was actually just under 15 feet (about 14 feet 7 inches). The rings are approximately 9 and 1/4 inches in diameter. The handle of the rings is approximately 3 1/2 inches in circumference. Although I will say that these rings are great. The instructions for inserting the straps into the buckle aren't entirely clear, but it is clear in the user images of the product images. In fact, this leads to the problem many people complain about: buckles. It's easy to ignore the instructions and try to use "common sense" to install the strap into the buckle, but it's more than likely the wrong way to go. If shown in any way other than the custom image mentioned earlier, the strap is more likely to slip off and cause you to fall on your butt or better yet, your face. It's hard to put into words exactly how to insert the straps into the buckle so all I can say is check out the customer uploaded pictures on the product description page. Also, I'm a 135 lb male and have complete confidence in the gear. to be able to maintain my weight when training on it. The handles are not too big and not too small. Also, the handles are lightly textured so they aren't very slippery if you want to do things with your bare hands. Any type of training gloves can be used with it if your hands are calloused or tear very easily. Some reviewers suggest gymnastics chalk, but I don't see the need to go that far and specifically. It's also true that there aren't any markings on the straps, making it quite difficult to adjust them to a perfectly consistent and reasonable level. . However, this was easily solved with a white ruler. Just place the touching bands next to each other and try to make them as even as possible. Then take a ruler and mark each leg. I marked mine every 3 inches and noted the number of feet each time I came across whole feet. This made a huge difference in how easy it was to start my workout. Also, these rings are very inexpensive compared to the "real" rings they sell on crossfit sites or similar. It does what other more expensive rings do for a fraction of the price. Overall I am satisfied with this purchase. It seems strong enough and I think it will last a long time. By the way, this is a link to an image showing how to properly insert the strap into the buckle: http://www.amazon.com/gp/customer-media/permalink/mo2KEEJH037LV7I/B0031QCS8C/ref=cm_ciu_images_pl_link
