Ever notice that the built in cup holders in your car have valves? Maybe it's retractable fins. Maybe they are semi-rigid foam. But the reason they're here is because the cup holder can be adjusted to accommodate cups of most sizes and shapes. Also to prevent rollovers in corners and sudden stops. These coasters don't have valves, so I'm constantly reaching for my cup to make sure it doesn't fly forward. This defeats the peace of mind that a cup holder is supposed to bring. I'll keep using this until I find a better option, but in my opinion that's not true.
