Review on Green Fox Run Marble Mortar & Pestle by Lori Okuno

There are several things I find excusable for buyers: 1). If the item arrives damaged beyond the seller's control, and 2). If the product doesn't live up to expectations, it's your fault, not the sellers. One thing I don't understand is when a seller goes out of their way to upload an inaccurate product image and misleading product dimensions as this obviously results in a much greater return on investment. The case of this little green marble mortar and pestle is just a throwback as the depiction of the item was inaccurate and really wasted my time. I bought this item because I knew the device would be smaller. According to some reviews, the description suggests the item is 4 inches wide and/or 4 inches deep. I'm telling you now it's a little over 3.5 inches tall and 2.5 to 3 inches deep. It's not a big mortar and pestle and probably won't do the hard work. This is nice if you have a small kitchen and don't cook much, but if you're a very avid cook or plan on grinding anything other than soft chilli seeds or flakes, then you should probably spend the extra money and buy something else. My whole issue with this item is the color. I had a particular need for a block of dark green marble, and the size was more or less irrelevant when I could grind even half an ounce of herbs, dried flower petals, and some food ingredients. More precisely, I wanted dark green, like in the photo. Luckily I have Prime so this item arrived within 3 business days but I was so disappointed when I opened it. IMO, it's not so much that it's a bad or weak unit, but that the color was so wrong. If you don't care about that and need an expensive mortar and pestle, then this might work well for you. If you know how to combine certain colors, then seriously, but something else. What annoys me the most is how the seller wasted my time. I have a high tolerance. It takes me a long time to leave a negative review, but all this seller had to do was post a picture showing the exact color. That's all. I ended up having to buy a second unit here at Revain for a few bucks more (less than $20) as shown in the photos I posted to the right. The second box is slightly larger but the color is CORRECT and matches what was shown in the listing. On the left is the Fox Run unit, which I'm going to bring back. The difference is noticeable. If you are considering buying this, be aware that they can change color.
