When I first used it, it was amazing. Worked great. About a year. Since then I've lost half a dozen discs to this thing. It seems to have very poor power management as I can't run more than one drive at a time, it never mounts some drives and it takes forever to mount the rest. There MUST be better options than this. Some of my drives now won't mount at all. Maybe it's because the hard drive shouldn't be replaced? Possibly, but I'm careful with my media - I always wait until the heads are parked (you can hear that on every disc) and don't store discs near magnetic objects. But they seem to stay hot even when they're not running, and that can't be good for them. Usually these are PCB failures. This would make sense for a docking station that wastes more energy spinning the hard drive uselessly than carefully inserting and removing it.
