For the price, this humidifier is hard to beat. Its ultrasonic mist is reliable, the levels are adjustable, and the ability to direct the mist 360 degrees is a plus. The small size and convenient top-fill tank are key advantages. However, I have two main comments about its design. First, the plastic construction is so-so. The entire unit is quite thin, which is most noticeable in the transparent tank. Being angular, it always becomes brittle and breaks easily. Curved type humidifiers are much stronger and less prone to damage. I have one from Honeywell that is *much* less weak. Second, the switch is electronic, which means that if there is a power interruption, it will automatically return to the "off" position, even after power is restored. This would not happen with a mechanical switch. This may not be a problem for most people, but in my application I was hoping to hook it up to a timer switch so it would turn on and off automatically at set times of the day and night. Since this is not possible, I would have to monitor it much more closely, which is annoying. These issues may not be relevant to most users, and if so, this humidifier is value for money. But it's not perfect.
