In my sample picture of these kits, the top swatches are dry (applied with an eyeshadow applicator) and the bottom swatches are watered. Brush. To apply it dry, I ran the applicator directly over the pad. For wet application I applied the pad directly to the ceramic plate 4 or 5 times and then picked up the color with a brush dipped in water. The colors are so beautiful! I had no experience with them and they were very easy to use and I found them to be really forgiving. They are very versatile and can be used to create a more painterly look or a fluffier, cloud-like look. I love her!
