Product specifications show it can keep drinks cold for 24 hours and hot for 12 hours. The label says the same. I bought this as a compact, insulated container that fits in a small bottle pocket on the back of my bike rack bag when I'm riding for a few hours. I needed my iced coffee to stay cold in the warmer months and my coffee/tea to stay hot in the cooler weather. This bottle's insulation doesn't live up to any of its claims, but it's particularly evident when it can't hold the temperature. She. When I poured hot tea into this bottle, it warmed up very quickly on the outside. It didn't reach a burning temperature, but it definitely felt very warm. That's a bad sign. This indicates that the insulation is failing and heat is being lost at a high rate. In fact, after about 2 1/2 hours, my tea was lukewarm at best. I can't say it's the lid as it generates less heat than the bottle itself. This is my first time owning a vacuum flask this size so I don't know if it will make a difference but it definitely will does not live up to the claims on the label or product page. I may have to try other brands and see if their similar products work better.
