We have a 1 year old beagle who is hard on beds, loves to gnaw and suck on them. Hopefully he'll get over it soon. So when we throw away a bed we get a new one and recently chose this one. Immediately she is nice and soft. However, when unpacked it feels flexible, and once lowered it seems like the padding on the underside is missing. It's not that bad on carpet, it seems less comfortable on hard floors. So that's a docked star. Now I appreciate one thing: This boy is slightly larger than our previous dogs at 32 pounds. We usually get 21" x 25" rectangular beds, which are great for our other dogs, but they're a bit small for the one we've found. This bed is more spacious for a medium size. I usually expect the dog to curl up and come. But he's no ordinary beagle and tries to point out that this bed is still too small for him. We're not falling for it, Jack. You can come!
