Replaced a cracked screen and damaged digitizer. I read several comments (not necessarily for this product) complaining about opening a damaged product but without being able to prove it was damaged in transit they lost money. This wasn't the case for me, but just in case, I asked my husband to make a video of me opening and examining the box, just in case. The product itself worked wonderfully. After the installation everything worked great. 5 stars for the product. 2 stars for the installation instructions. I knew from the description there would be no instructions and I was confident that I could find out with resources on the internet. I used the video suggested by the seller and it is lacking to say the least. Here are my suggestions: It takes a few minutes for the glue to heat up enough that it can be quickly removed with a hair dryer. Don't expect to go around the edges and peel it off a dozen times. Take your time. Use white cups or white plates or a white SOMETHING for the screws. There are many of them and they come in different sizes. And did I mention they are small. I swear, smaller than a pinhead. Count them out, put them somewhere in the order they came out so you know exactly where they go when you put them back in. Watch the video a few times to know the order in which to rearrange everything. It's easy to take apart. To assemble it in the right order, you need to think more. Not difficult, but I put the LCD back down a few times before realizing I had to screw two metal plates in front of the LCD. Check everything before you put the glue back together. Touch all corners, try the keyboard, make sure the home screen works. Check if it lies flat. When I removed the old screen the old glue puckered slightly from the tools and I had to remove some of it to allow the new screen and glue to lay flat. There is a film on the adhesive on the new screen that needs to be removed. Remote control. It's hard to get a corner. Be sure to remove ALL the adhesive backing! Some are tiny!
