I wanted it to work! I like this idea. But it doesn't work well. But not for making candy at home. The temperature sensor doesn't work very well in a thick spatula. Even with a hole for it, it still depended on the temperature difference at its tip, which was colder than a spatula and didn't heat up as quickly as real candy in a bowl. It was also a hassle trying to clean when there was candy/chocolate/etc. entered where the probe is located. It is a very small room that is not easy to get into. I wanted to like it. I really did. I like this idea. but it doesn't work well for a small homemade candy/chocolate batch anyway. This may work better in a larger room where large batches of ingredients are being heated to completely cover the entire spatula so the probe may work more smoothly. Although washing would still be a shame.
