The low yield version gets all the praise but I went for the high yield version. I don't know why as all my phono stages are easy to tune. But I have no regrets because this pickup sounds fantastic! I can't think of a cartridge I like more and over the years I have had several different cartridges - Shelter, Grado, Clearaudio, Grace, Nagaoka, Denon, Dinavector. I liked all of the ones I listed once they were set up. As I can only fit one pickup at a time I can't say if it's better than the others but what I can say is that it's an amazingly great sounding pickup with warmth and detail at the same time. It handles the bass with aplomb and confidence, yet the highs are open and the picture is as good or better than anything I've heard. Definitely worth the price for less than 1k. Definitely recommended. Of course you need a good phono preamp to get the most out of it - I recommend Sutherland phono preamps.
