I was surprised at the quality of the camera and how well made it is for a $200 night vision scope. I realize it's not on par with my $2000 night scopes, but for $200 it's just a bargain. The images become sharp after adjusting the focus ring and I would say the detection distance is around 600-700 meters in the day. Identification by night, probably in the range of 350 yards. With the ability to take photos, record videos or simply use the camera as a spotting scope, you really can't go wrong with this camera. This is definitely a great purchase. If I had to say there was a fault it would be a replacement for the 4AA batteries, but as long as you use rechargeable batteries you're fine.
