When used with my Dell P2715Q there is very little wiggle room once all the straps are tightened. I think in light rain this will protect the monitor. My only complaint is that if something hits the front pocket it can go straight in and ruin the screen. I ended up cutting out double corrugated cardboard to put between the monitor and the fabric. The same problem will exist for iMac.
