Starbucks Barista Review: So this is my first espresso machine and I am very happy with it so far. At first the machine wasn't working as fast as it could because it took 15 minutes to warm up, so I contacted support and they responded very quickly, which was a big bonus for me. They answered my questions back and forth and sent me a steaming jug for free. What I wish is that the car could heat up faster. Now that the machine is set up and I want to make coffee, it's plugged in and turned on, I have to press the fire button for it to start heating up. If I had pressed the steam wand button, it would have taken longer to switch the machine temperature to steam temperature. If you want your espresso as fast as possible I would recommend thinking about it, I just turn it on while it's running and within 6-9 minutes it's heating up. I did a few cycles first and then added espresso. Make sure you add 2 full scoops for 2 shots or the shot will be too watery. I used Starbucks Italian Roast first and the crema was a little fluffy but still tasty. With Starbucks Signature Espresso, the crema immediately turned richly dark and the caramel looked like honey dripping from a spoon and the color was very toasty. thumbs up from me It's easy to set up, just be patient and let it warm up for 15 minutes. Be sure to remove the silicone plug from the water tank to allow water to enter the machine. The machine is a little light, but the body is very beautiful. Portafilters tend to be very heavy and require force, so I recommend putting a silicone mat under them to keep them from slipping and loosening the grip when you try to loosen the portafilter. The space between the portafilter and the drip tray is small so make sure you have a shot glass (bigger as 2 shot glasses take up a decent amount of space. The shots were fine once I got the right amount in the portafilter. I Like it so far, but the only thing that confuses me at the moment (I've only done a few cycles and I'm having to get used to it) is that it takes a good minute or more for the steam nozzle to heat up. I don't want that milk Compare it to the pressure the machine offers at Starbucks or the local coffee shop but even after 90 seconds it's still smoking and the milk isn't too hot and it's very noisy when you air it Microfoam came out fine There were no bubbles and it looked like wet paint and it's awesome and i'm really struggling to achieve this with small floating sticks (i would really prefer a big stick because it's also harder to b (because it's on the smaller side and you can burn fingers) Latte art is what I still make because even though I got the right milk, the espresso foams a bit for the milk and doesn't let the milk flow in , but only mixes, but it's very convenient when I can properly prepare milk and espresso. Overall, I'm happy that the espresso is rich, beautiful, and smells amazing. The shots are a bit larger than regular moves, and even one shot is good for me, which is usually unacceptable to me. The machine is beautiful and easy to use, especially if this is your first! Very little complexity, very hard not to get it right because it's very simple and easy for beginners. Customer service is excellent, which means a lot to me. I recommend this for beginners because more features = more complexity. It's easy, and as long as you get the right amount of coffee and your portafilter is nice and damp inside after pulling the shot, you'll be fine! Mine looked like a puddle at first, but I was advised that I was under-using espresso. So two thumbs up from me. I really want the steam nozzle to heat the milk faster because I don't want to stand and hold it for more than 90 seconds.
