Bought this poncho about a year ago specifically to walk our dog. This is the first year we've spent all winter at our condo in SC and it's been a rainy one. It works very well, keeps you dry. Had our pup out during a down pour and kept me dry except for my legs below the knee.it was windy so nothing would have stopped that. The sides snap in about 3 places on each side. I caught it on stair rail and it popped the snap off, so I would imagine, I'll pop more off over use.but I'll probably buy another. Works well enough and for the money you can't beat it.
