the earring set came in a protective plastic case that can be reused. Each pair of earrings is individually wrapped to prevent scratches. When I received them in the mail, I couldn't find any defects. Some rings do not fully twist, but others do. not very tight and would be easy to lose. Each pair of earrings has an additional backing. I would probably only wear them if I wasn't afraid of losing them. Earrings that go all the way close and feel a lot more secure. My 5 star ratings are these earrings! They are cute, light, safe and very easy to combine. Time will tell if they fade easily but so far I am very happy with these.
