We just rescued a 4 year old Maine Coon who is addicted to dry food. All of our other cats could easily be switched to good quality canned food but not Abigail. We tried so many delicious dishes that I lost count of how many we bought and had to throw them away after sniffing at them, sometimes licking them off and then leaving the main meat in the bowl. I decided that if she has to eat dry food and I don't refuse wet food, it should be a good low carb food. My other cats have always loved wellness, so I was drawn to it. Unfortunately, while Abigail loves her kibble, she hasn't even tried the turkey and duck mix. She also felt that she had to make a statement as well. After sniffing it, she took a few steps back and just stared at her bowl. mmm I have understood. She liked the variety of fish and birds just to scratch her chin, neck and paws. I'm not sure if it was the fish or the potato, but I'm leaning toward the potato because it's the only main ingredient she's never eaten. We now have 2 spa packages that we cannot use. Sad because we still haven't found the right food for them and because that's more money in the trash. Not satisfied with this either. Spring. Looks like our search will continue.
