We got these newborn diapers before they grew into other diapers people gave us. He was born at 9lb 7oz and they fit him perfectly out of his pocket! And that's a good thing, because back then we didn't know about the whole horizontal button size thing. Now he is 2 months old and they are still our favorites. The insoles are easy to handle (do not fold) and absorb moisture well. After about a week we found that you could just put the liner on top of it instead of in the pocket which made things a lot easier. Then my husband found out you can put one in the pocket AND one on top (comes with 2 for each diaper) and it works great at night when you need to pee multiple times between layers. My husband pinched the skin awkwardly at one point, but other than that they were the easiest to take off and put on, even in the dark, for diaper changes and EC. They even work well with one button on each side instead of two to form a group. The closest diaper I would recommend is Drybees which has the best velcro closure I have ever found on all my favorite worn diapers. Also, they come in fun colors and aren't plastic enough to cause diaper rash.
