WARNING: This hard drive will install spyware on your computer. Buyers be careful. I bought it and immediately plugged it into my MacBook Pro. I was waiting for the drive to appear on my desktop and it made a lot of noise and beeps. When it finally appeared on the desktop, I opened the folder to move some files but the folder was empty. All folders on my computer were empty and the hard drive was still noisy. Then my computer froze, it has never done that before. I had to force restart. When I turned the computer back on, there was a "Flash Player" icon, but it wasn't Flash Player, it was spyware. I then took a chance and plugged it into an old computer to see what files it might have dropped. my computer or a hard drive stored by my computer was unavailable. I spoke to Revain customer service and arranged a refund but told them I was concerned about what was on the hard drive and didn't want it sent back to the company that made it for fear of privacy invasion sent me. They assured me that their team would check the hard drive before sending it back. I trust Revain but it doesn't look like they can. I opened the hard drive case and took out the hard drive, it's a Seagate 320GB hard drive, and destroyed the hard drive. I replaced it with my old 500GB hard drive and the unit works great, so there was definitely something on that hard drive that was preventing it from being accessed. You can buy a hard drive enclosure from tech sites for less than $9 and install your own hard drive. drive, do not trust this company. I lost some money doing this, but I feel safer not to send it back in case they copy something from my computer. I'm not usually paranoid, but this disk is very patchy.
