It seems that every design element is designed to complicate an easy install. There is a lock nut on the central nipple that must be loosened and the nipple must be unscrewed to tighten the attachment to the bracket as a decorative cap is placed over the nipple. Why closed and why decorative? For God's sake, in the shadows and behind the lightbulb! Why not add a simple nut to attach the bracket to the nipple? Well, maybe it's because the nipple is right in line with the bulb. Even if the cap is a tight fit on the mount, whatever small bulb you use, you will need to bend the mount that holds the bulb to make them all fit. They could make it more awkward, but I'm not sure how. I understand why the previous recipient returned the product, but I received it at a discount.
