Review on Digital Kitchen Countdown Cooking Thermometer by Rhonda Green

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Cheap and works.

Pros: Large display but it fits in front shirt pocket. 99+hr timer so it works equally well in the kitchen and for controlling drip irrigation. Three tone levels for the alarm clock. Adequate, REALLY LOUD, or just a blinking LED with no sound. At the end of the time cycle, the alarm will turn off after one minute and a countdown will start so you know how much time has passed if you missed the alarm. Also works as a regular clock with multiple alarms, so we also use this timer as a backup for the pill dispenser. 24 hour clock. No accommodation 12 o'clock wusses. It also makes am/pm programming errors impossible. AAA batteries are standard on all remote controls in this house - no button batteries to keep on hand. The magnetic back is ok. It stays in place when the buttons are pushed, but I'm not sure how well it will stick to a fridge door that's too closed. PRICE $6.90 Cons: No backlight.

Pros
  • Auto disconnect and callback on reset. The timer turns off automatically after about 1 minute to save batteries. 3 ways to place the timer: hanging, sitting or magnetic
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging
