My Dell Inspiron 546 would not start. When I plugged in the computer, the green light on the power supply came on. When I pressed the computer's power button, the power light went off and the fans started spinning. The computer didn't even get to the Dell logo. I ordered this power supply and it is easy to replace. I plugged the computer into an electrical outlet (the LED on the PSU was green), pressed the computer's power button (the light on the PSU stayed lit), and the computer booted up successfully.
