These polishes are so beautiful and so shiny. I applied 3 coats for full coverage as they are jelly based which I personally love, jelly gloss polishes are so cool. You can also use them over other polishes if you want to enhance a non-shiny polish. They have a gorgeous liner with a holographic shine that looks amazing in the sun. I have yet to try them over black, but I suspect it just gives the polishes a stronger darker effect.
