Review on ๐Ÿ’ป HP Pavilion 15.6" Gaming Laptop with AMD Ryzen 5, 8GB Memory, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650, 256GB SSD, in Shadow Black by Nick Howard

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I think it's a great notebook for the price.

Works with most games I play reasonably well. I played Cyberpunk 2077, a remake of Resident Evil 2, and Resident Evil Village quite well. Note, however, that you'll need to lower your graphics settings in very graphics-intensive games like Cyberpunk and RE Village; If you're looking for a machine that can run these games at the highest settings, you'll definitely have to shell out a few hundred bucks more. Even everyday life is fast. I always have a million Chrome tabs open and this PC handles them like a champ. No problem. The screen is also quite nice. It's more than bright enough for every indoor situation I've used and it's punchy enough. However, I have yet to take it outside (and don't plan to) so I don't know if it will be bright enough to withstand direct sunlight. Array I/O should be fine for most people. It has two USB Type-A ports (one on each side), an HDMI port, an Ethernet port, a USB Type-C port (which you can of course use to charge your laptop, although I haven't tested it), a headphone jack and a Device for SD card reader that is very valuable. The speakers fit my unprepared ear. They're not insanely bass-heavy, but they're not super tinny either. They're loud enough and easy to hear in most situations, but sometimes I use a Chrome extension to boost the volume of quieter YouTube videos, so keep that in mind. The only thing I can really complain about is the battery life. . It's not great. I was only able to do a couple of hours of light work in Chrome in sleep mode. If you're looking for something portable with a battery that lasts all day, this isn't it. In general. In general, I do not regret the purchase. It's powerful enough to run most games on at least medium settings, it's got a good screen, a really good keyboard, a good trackpad, and it's a joy to use on a day-to-day basis. Be aware that the battery life isn't great. If you're looking for a powerful, affordable gaming laptop that you want to wall mount and easily move around the house, this might be the laptop for you.
