Review on πŸ’œ The Miss Priss 1" Flat Iron Hair Straightener: Infrared Technology + Tourmaline Ceramic Plates for All Hair Types (Purple) by Alicia Pittmon

No hair scratching! for iron

I usually buy irons at Walmart because they are cheaper. I recently came across an ad for this product on social media and was intrigued by the infrared heater. My hair is dry and breaks easily and I was looking for something gentler on my hair. After reading reviews of softer, shinier hair and almost none that were less than three stars (on various review sites), I decided to spend money on it. I used it for the first time this morning and was very pleasantly surprised. There was absolutely no tangles. The plates glide smoothly and effortlessly through my hair. From just one use I can say there is a big difference between Miss Priss and my previous iron. I have a lot of short hair from snagging and breaking from my other flat iron. Miss Priss didn't pull or break my hair. It is also very light compared to my Remington iron and also very manoeuvrable. The product heats up quite quickly when you're in a hurry. I use a heat protectant spray (purchased, nothing special, from the website) before blow drying and straightening. Also, purple is my favorite color, so of course I bought it! If you want a good straightener that won't fry or pull your hair out, I highly recommend investing the extra money for this one. I don't think you will be disappointed. There's a slight smell on first use, but I think it's probably some kind of coating on the plates that get hot. All of the straighteners I've used had this smell initially, but the smell didn't transfer to my hair and retained the smell of my heat protectant spray.
