Bought a pair of these for my new 220g tank. I have one at each end of the tank. I've had them running for a week now and am still trying to get a consistent temperature. The video attached to this article is invalid because the model and controls have changed. There is a red dial and a VERY SMALL temperature gauge is a four degree range (82 to 86). Not very suitable for precise temperature setting. One would assume that if the scale were set close to 86, the temperature would be 85 (for the discus). I have both heaters set to the same temperature but after a week I still need to get the right temperature. Today it is 83.7 degrees. For the price of these supposedly high-end heaters, I expected finer control settings and more precise temperature control. Very frustrating.
