Review on πŸ”’ DeBeer Military Ballistic Nylon 2 Piece: Superior Durability for Tactical Performance by Chris Moody

Good watch strap with one fault that can be repaired

This is a decent watch strap that goes very well with a Wenger (Swiss Army) field watch with 22mm lugs. The length is just right for my large wrist and it has plenty of notches for a good fit. The nylon strap is durable and virtually impervious to water and dirt. The buckle and matching hardware are of high quality. It came with two watch pins and was easy to install, although the end of the strap fits the watch lugs fairly snugly. The only downside to this band is that there are some pretty rough spots on the inside that chafe my skin. It turns out these are the cut ends that have been sewn into the tape where it makes contact with the skin. The ends of the nylon melted making them quite sharp and rough. I was able to fix this by sanding/sawing the rough edges until they were smooth. Took me about 10 minutes but now the group is more comfortable. I also twisted the stiff tape in my hands to soften it up a bit. It works fine now, but I gave it a few stars because of the extra work. I love the olive color and it goes well with a military style field watch. Less bulky than NATO style straps.

Pros
  • Brilliantly made
Cons
  • It makes me angry
