Whatever you do, vacuum that thing thoroughly before you use it. I unpacked it, put it on the workbench and ran my hand over it lightly. This thing sheds fibers like crazy when it's new. Time will tell if this continues. I took the vacuum cleaner and sucked it well. As you can see in the second picture the number of fibers has been greatly reduced and I had to do a little work to get them. Terrible hair is the reason for the 3 star rating. We'll see how it holds up over time. The dimensions of the floor mat corresponded to those specified. The underlay adheres well to floors painted with epoxy resin. It doesn't move easily underfoot. I deliberately covered my boots with lots of grass and fine gravel and then wiped them on the mat. A good shake will remove most debris, so that's good. The carpet looks beautiful. It will look great in your home or on your doorstep. Did I mention fibers? Updated 2/3/2017: This thing just doesn't stop fiber loss. Every time I dry my feet in front of the shop door, I still have to sweep up the ball of fiber that comes off the thing after 2 weeks. I would not recommend this rug.
