Review on Efficiently Organize Your Wardrobe with Whitmor Deluxe Adjustable Garment Rack - Rolling Clothes Organizer in White and Chrome by Andrea Larson

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Working mom goes to the counter!

I am a working mother of two who has just started school and is looking for ways to hang ironed clothes for our "work days". As a working mom who also has a 45-minute commute, I don't have much (ha, that's funny, let's say "any") free time during the weekdays, so on the weekends I make an effort to have five outfits for both of them. we are ironed and ready to go. When I stumbled upon it I was a bit shocked at the low price of $15 and thought it would be a good decision for me, although the reviews made me feel like maybe I made a bad choice. As soon as it arrived I started assembling it (please read the instructions. I have a habit of attaching the bars first and turning them upside down until I struggled with my two year old's instructions who then got the wrong one Screwdriver snapped and tried help mom) and it took less than ten minutes. He just sticks the poles in, that's all. I got up, rolled it to the corner of my bedroom and put it on. I'm a small (very small) woman so my dresses aren't usually heavy, and my daughter wears 6x in her school uniform so it's not that hard to hold on to. I see a lot of people complaining about it crashing, but in my personal experience and using it for over two months I've never had a problem. To be honest I don't move it from one area to another unless I'm cleaning and it seems cheap if you move it with a load but I'm careful. This is the only negative I have with it. On the bottom shelf I placed a large wicker basket in which I put all my clothes that "should hang". Let's just say the stack is definitely huge since I'll be stacking it all day, but I absolutely hate hanging clothes. So, with that huge stack in the basket and the clothes hanging out, that clothes rack is still hanging! As my work is more casual, I usually have 2-3 pairs of smart clothes, as well as 3 pairs of trousers (I have a 0, so again light) and 3 shirts/blouses. Along with the overgrown pile of hanging clothes, my week's clothes hanging on a pole is my daughter's school uniform. I make five uniforms for them to hang too. I think this clothes rack can definitely take a lot, but we're short people and it doesn't take the weight. If you were a tall person with heavier coats/work jeans I wouldn't recommend this unless you put your work jeans on the bottom shelf and evenly distribute the weight on the bar itself relative to coats or heavier items. my personal use, it was a lifesaver! I will also say that I use it to dry clothes! Just in case, I put a towel on the bottom shelf and hang my daughter's uniform or whatever else I don't put in the dryer. Again not heavy weight although they get wet due to our small size but they are great for my use and if I had a larger hallway I would buy another to keep it there permanently.
