Our baby really liked these Velcro diapers. By the end of the first month he was quickly out of the traditional wrap (although I had learned how to wrap very well) but it took him 2 to 2.5 months to start moving his arms out of that wrap. You can make the velcro very comfortable so now at just under 3 months old he puts his hands in his chest and then pulls his hands out of the neck hole so I know it's time to ditch the diaper but that was great. He could sleep between 4 and 6 hours in it, so I'm very sad to miss that! (He's an EBF so 5 hours is a big deal!) This surprises me too as my first one never lasted more than 2 hours in the first 2 years of his life. He hated diapers so we didn't even try it on him but it was probably worth it. up, so free hands aren't working for us now, so we need to find a transition from swaddling. I've tried the zipper with no success (he can still rub his face) and I'm going to try on the Merlin costume tonight. I spend a lot of money on these crazy pajamas, but it's worth it when he sleeps 5 hours straight!
