Thick Heavy Vinyl on my review.

This iron-on vinyl is not my usual brand, but I liked the color and, after all, it is 25 feet of product. The first hing I noticed is how heavy it is. It feels thick. I decided on a design and cut it with my Cricut cutting machine. Because of the thickness of the vinyl, I had a little bit of trouble weeding it, simply because my hook didn't grab into the vinyl completely the first try. The vinyl also sticks very well to the carrier sheet, so pulling the negative vinyl off was a difficult tack.Once I had the design weeded, I ironed it onto a shirt with a heat press set at 350 degrees for 30 seconds before peeling. This vinyl is cold peel, so I had to wait for it to cool. Even then it was difficult to pull off of the shirt. As I was peeling the vinyl off it kept pulling at the shirt and seemed to be ready to pull the vinyl off. After pulling the carrier sheet off I ironed again for 60 more seconds until the vinyl showed the texture of the shirt fabric. The final result is that the vinyl ironed on well enough, clearing showing the shirt texture throughout. As it is before ironing on the vinyl is thick, heavy and shiny. My usual iron-on is thinner so that it feels more a part of the project's fabric. While I feel like this vinyl created a good end result, I prefer vinyl with a softer feel than this vinyl. However, it is not as stiff or thick feeling as some others I've used.As far as the value of this vinyl, it is not as expensive as some, but also more expensive than others. I believe it to be a fair value for the money, one with which anyone would be satisfied.
